We are seeking a Senior Water Pipeline Design Engineer to lead the design and implementation of critical water pipeline replacement projects as part of a major infrastructure program for California’s largest water utility. Key Responsibilities: Lead pipeline design and replacement projects , ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory, and environmental standards . Conduct engineering calculations, design reviews, and develop project documentation. Collaborate with internal teams, agencies, and stakeholders to devise innovative solutions. Oversee permitting processes, schedule coordination, and contractor selection. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers. Ensure project safety, quality control, and risk assessment compliance . What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) license in California (EIT certificate considered equivalent). 10+ years of advanced engineering experience with a focus on pipeline design and infrastructure projects . Strong understanding of hydraulics, pipe materials, pressure ratings, and industry standards (AWWA, ASCE, ASTM, etc.) . Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InfoWater, Cesar, AutoPipe , and GIS mapping tools (ArcGIS) . Exceptional communication skills for presenting technical details to diverse audiences. Experience in permitting processes, regulatory compliance, and cost assessments . Preferred Qualifications: Certified Water Professional (CWP) or equivalent. GIS or Asset Management Certification .
