About the Role

Bodhi, a pioneering force in intelligent hospitality technology, is seeking a highly skilled and driven Technical Sales Engineer to support our rapidly expanding presence in the Latin American and Caribbean hotel markets. This role will work closely with Bodhi’s hospitality-focused regional representatives and dealer network of system integrators to support the design, presentation, and deployment of Bodhi’s platform across hotel and resort properties. With a focus on providing intelligent control and automation of hotel systems—such as lighting, HVAC, door locks, and entertainment—this role requires a blend of technical expertise and a strong understanding of the unique challenges within the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Sales Support & Training: Act as a technical advisor to support regional representatives and dealers in the LATAM and Caribbean hospitality markets, providing product demonstrations, solution development, and onboarding/training to enable successful selling and deployment of Bodhi’s platform.

  • Proposal & Specification Development: Collaborate with dealers to review drawings and technical specifications and tailor comprehensive proposals that address hotel operational needs and align with guest expectations.

  • System Demonstrations & Data Collection: Conduct technical demos to showcase Bodhi’s capabilities across various hotel systems and provide data collection templates to ensure proper configuration and deployment for each unique project.

  • Project Implementation & Support: Offer technical assistance and guidance to reps, dealers, and the Bodhi Implementation Manager during project deployment, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal system performance.

  • End-user Training & Support: Ensure comprehensive training for hotel property staff on using the Bodhi platform for room control, service automation, and guest management, as well as supporting reps and dealers throughout the process.

  • Collaborative Partnership: Work closely with Bodhi’s internal sales, engineering, and support teams to align technical solutions with the overall business strategy, fostering long-term solid partnerships in the hospitality sector.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in a technical sales or sales engineering role.

  • Preferred experience in system integration, building automation, or IoT solutions within the hospitality industry.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical background with a solid understanding of hospitality systems, including guest room management systems (GRMS), property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS), and guest-facing technologies.

  • In-depth knowledge of lighting controls, room controls, and system integration.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Bilingual proficiency (English & Spanish) is required.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed across the region and for industry events and tradeshows.

What We Offer:

  • Highly competitive salary and plus performance bonuses based on territory growth

  • Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) matching, and industry standard paid time off.

  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with an industry-first hospitality technology solution.

  • A company culture that values professional development and innovation.
