We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to contribute to exciting website enhancement projects as part of a contract role. Based in Old Lyme, Connecticut, this position offers flexibility with remote or hybrid work options. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in independent settings and has a strong background in WordPress development.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and optimization of WordPress-based websites, ensuring functionality and user experience are top-notch.
• Implement website upgrades and consolidate multiple web properties into a unified system.
• Customize and enhance front-end elements using JavaScript and additional tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver projects efficiently without needing extensive supervision.
• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to client needs.
• Ensure website performance meets modern standards, including speed and responsiveness.
• Utilize Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud to support design and development tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WordPress functionalities.• Proven experience in WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, and integrations.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with modern front-end development practices.
• Experience with tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Ability to work independently, managing tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Strong understanding of website optimization techniques for performance and user experience.
• Prior involvement in website upgrade and consolidation projects is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in web development.
