What we collect

We collect only what you send us. Through the enquiry form that is your name, company, email address, telephone number if you provide one, the category you are interested in, and the content of your message.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this site. See our cookie policy.

Why we hold it

To respond to your enquiry and, if it leads somewhere, to carry on the commercial relationship. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: you contacted a business about a business matter and expect a reply.

Commercial information you send us, such as your current buying prices and volumes, is treated as confidential. It is used to assess whether we can improve your position, and it is not shared with other clients or with suppliers in a form that identifies you.

Who sees it

• Our own staff, where they need it to deal with your enquiry.
• Our email and website hosting providers, as processors acting on our instructions and bound to use the data only for that purpose.
• Nobody else, unless the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a relationship are deleted within 24 months. Records connected to a live or past trading relationship are kept for as long as the relationship lasts and then for the period required by tax and company law.

Where it is held

Personal data you send us is held in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data outside that area, it does so under an international data transfer agreement approved for use from the UK.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it. Write to info@flatoutcustoms.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
